Who runs this site

No cookies, no analytics
This site does not set cookies, does not use analytics or tracking tools, and does not show advertising. There is no account to sign up for.
The contact form
Messages sent through the contact form are emailed to Lawrence and are not stored on the website. To protect the form from spam, a hashed copy of your IP address is kept for up to an hour, to limit how many messages can be sent from one connection, and is used for nothing else.
Our web host
Like any website, the pages are delivered by a web server. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, which record things like your IP address, your browser type and the pages requested. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, and we do not use them to identify visitors.
Fonts from Google
The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. To deliver them, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which means Google receives your IP address and basic information about your browser. Google says it does not use Google Fonts to set cookies or build profiles of visitors. You can read more in Google’s privacy policy.
The newsletter
When you sign up for the newsletter, your email address is emailed to Lawrence and kept in a private file on the web server, which cannot be reached from the web, until he adds it to his mailing list. Only your address and the date you signed up are kept, with the wording of what you agreed to. The sign-up form has the same spam protection as the contact form. To be removed at any time, reply to any newsletter or use the contact form.
Links to other sites
Book pages link to online bookshops, and the site links to social networks such as Facebook and YouTube. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you follow a link.

You can ask what information we hold about you, if any, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Please use the contact page.
